Not everyone who harms investors is confused or careless.
Some know exactly what they’re doing and they do it anyway.
That truth can feel especially heavy at year’s end.
The new year won’t erase what’s happened.
It won’t suddenly make regulators faster, platforms more honest, or financial predators more ethical.
But time; even arbitrary, symbolic time like a calendar year gives us a break in the noise.
A line to mark:
- What we’ve survived.
- What we’ve learned.
- What we refuse to let happen again.
As we close out 2025, we acknowledge this:
